PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

ValerieBioRS.jpgValerie is one of three pediatric audiologists at The Moog Center for Deaf Education. She has an undergraduate degree in Child Development with an emphasis in early childhood education, and received her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Central Michigan University in 2002. She has had extensive training and experience in cochlear implant technologies, and was sponsored by both Cochlear Corporation and Advanced Bionics Corporation as a Cochlear Implant Fellow. She is currently collaborating with Cochlear Corporation regarding the use and validity of integrity testing of internal receiver/stimulators, and has participated in the collection of data for a research study with Washington University in St. Louis regarding electrical compound action potential (ECAP) thresholds obtained using Neural Response Telemetry (NRT) software and the relation to behavioral psychophysical measures.
