PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Beth is a full-time pediatric audiologist with 22 years of experience serving hearing-impaired children in an intensive auditory-oral environment.  Her responsibilities include diagnosis and habilitation of infants and children with hearing loss utilizing state-of-the-art hearing aids, cochlear implants and FM systems.  Verification and optimization of fitting and programming using objective measures (real-ear measurement, aided thresholds and speech perception testing) is paramount to the management of these young children as they prepare to enter their mainstream schools.  Communication with deaf educators and speech language therapists to monitor progress in auditory skill, speech and language development completes this ideal team approach to maximizing individual student potential.  In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Beth presents regionally and nationally in her specialty area of pediatric audiology. She also participates in research involving the audiologic management and performance of hearing-impaired children.
